If you love brownies, you’ll probably consider this one of the best low carb bars ever! I honestly don’t know how Atkin’s does it, but they’ve perfected this low carb brownie bar. The consistency of it is slightly more dense than a typical brownie (which in my opinion isn't a bad thing) and the flavor is on point. They're super chocolatey and come topped with walnuts, giving it an indulgently, satisfying texture. For a pre-packaged baked good, it’s amazing how moist and chewy the brownies are. And ready for this? Devouring one of these bad boys will only cost you 2 Net Carbs.

After trying out this delectable little treat, my first thought is that Atkins should change the name of it. It should be called something like low carb, Mounds bar knockoff. Because it actually tastes almost identical to an actual Mounds bar The coconut filling is super moist and is coated in delicious chocolate! Whatever the recipe is that Atkin's is using, they definitely got it right. If you blindfolded me and had me take a bite of the Atkin's bar and then one of Mounds, I don't think I'd be able to tell the difference.

Considering that a Mounds bar contains 31 grams of carbs, and the Atkins version is a mere 3 grams of carbs (and tastes just as good), it should win some sort of award for best low carb bars. This is one of my go to low carb snack bars when a chocolatey craving hits. Mounds bars are one of my favorite candy bars, so finding a low carb alternative that tastes like the real thing was a major score for me. If you love Mounds bars, I can't recommend these bars enough!

To all of my fellow low carb dieters who are seeking to find the best low carb bars that don’t contain chocolate, if you like lemon, I recommend trying out this snack bar. It has a light, zesty lemon flavor and a satisfying crunch that isn’t hard as brick (like the consistency of some other low carb products can be). The flavor is light and refreshing and makes for a great afternoon snack, especially during the warmer months. It's also high in protein so it will help keep you fuller longer (which is always a bonus when you're trying to lose weight). Not only is it only 3 net carbs, but it’s gluten free too.

Dang Bars 4 Net CarbsDang Bars

While the other low carb bars are sure to keep your sweet tooth in check, one thing that Dang Bars have that many others do not, is healthy and wholesome ingredients. The bars are plant based (containing ingredients such as almonds and chia seeds) and they are also vegan, gluten free and dairy free.

Ranging between 4-5 net carbs each, Dang Bars tend to be slightly higher on the carb scale than the other bars. However, they don’t contain any artificial sweeteners or sugar alcohols like a lot of other low carb treats do. So the trade off is that you consume an extra carb or two, but are consuming healthier ingredients. Because of the healthy ingredients, I would say that Dang Bars are the best low carb bars from a nutritional stand point.
