Best Low Carb Coconut Macaroons

These are definitely not your traditional macaroons but are more macaroon-like treats. Unlike the typical macaroon, these bad boys have a bit of a crunch on the outside. But contain a soft, chewy, coconutty goodness (similar to the consistency of a traditional macaroon) on the inside. They are also organic, raw, vegan and gluten free!
If you like coconut flavored baked goods, at 4 net carbs per serving these low carb macaroons are a good to keep in on hand for when you're in need of a tasty (low carb treat). But because they are not quite the same as a traditional macaroon, when it comes to holiday parties I wouldn't recommend putting these out and would instead opt for a more traditional (but still low carb option) like you can get from the Great Low Carb Bread Co. or Jennie's Sugar Free Macaroons.
Great Low Carb Paleo Macaroons 4 Net Carbs
Growing up, my Nana always bought macaroons during the holidays and they quickly became one of my favorite treats. While in terms of carbs, macaroons are nowhere near as bad as something like a Dunkin Donuts chocolate chip muffin, they certainly aren't super low carb either. Enter these low carb macaroons made by the Great Low Carb Bread Co. You can literally eat 3 of them and it's only 4 net carbs. They are quite tasty too!
Jennies Sugar Free Coconut Macaroon 5 Net Carbs
If you like traditional macaroons and are in the market for an excellent, low carb version, Jennies Sugar Free Coconut Macaroons are a great option. They are moist and flavorful and are probably the best low carb macaroon from a taste stand point. Despite being premade (and in a can) these taste like they were freshly made and make for a great low carb treat that's perfect for the holidays (or anytime of the year really).
While they are low carb (it's 5 net carbs for one macaroon) they aren't quite as low carb as the Great Low Carb Bread Co's macaroons (which is only 4 net carbs for 3 macaroons). So if you're trying to stick to a low carb diet but know you have a weak spot when it comes to macaroons and can't stop at just one, the Great Low Carb Bread Co may be a better low carb macaroon option for you.
These are definitely tasty, traditional macaroons. They are moist and chewy and everything that you'd want in a delicious coconut macaroon. There isn't much not to love about these except of course the amount of carbs. 17 net carbs for 1 macaroon is way too many carbs for me (especially because when it comes to macaroons I know I can't have just one).
While these are gluten free, there are other gluten free options that have significantly less carbs like the macaroons made by Jennies or the Great Low Carb Bread Co.
